So i have the tc-p50gt25 from my uncle and the power supply board makes a mechanical switch noise when its plugged in. Seems normal. But when i go to turn it on. It buzzes and proceedes to flash the power light 6 times. There is a cracked screen but its been working with it for a while.
@jxsh23 the 6 blinks is a Driver SOS 1 code from the SC energy recovery circuit. You will have to check the SC board and the SC to A board flex cable. Post some images of your boards with your question. That way we can see what you see. Use this guide Adding images to an existing question
You need to let us know how is your screen is broken. It is a Plasma screen so the humming could be coming from the boards for your screen
The mechanical switching sound is likely a relay engaging. The buzzing can be caused by coil whine (normal but annoying) or capacitors that have blown. Blown capacitors in the power board would also cause the other symptoms you mentioned.
