@jorgenson remove every other connection (video, cable box, Sat box etc.) and unplug the TV. Hold the power button down for about a minute. Then plug the TV back in and connect only one video source. A local source preferably (DVD, BR Player, game console etc.) and try to turn your TV on. Let us know what you get and the exact model number for your TV.

My Samsung smart TV has this exact problem. Disconnected it to untangle cables, plugged it back in and wont turn on. Left it unplugged for about a week, tried again, and it worked like nothing happened. Just unplugged it again today and wont turn on again. Tried everything, dont know if I should leave unplugged or what

I need the red light on my tv so I can turn it on if I leave it unplugged for awhile and plug it back into the outlet
