Our tv stopped working one day, it wouldn’t turn on, I took it apart and replaced the tcon board and the main board and I fixed it. but we had some vertical lines going down the screen for a couple years, so i thought i could fix that aswell, took the border off, then quickly realized that I am not going to fix it and more likely to do more damage. Put it back together and then there was no picture, just sound and the backlight on. Any ideas what it could be? The tcon board has three lights on it, when i fixed it all three lights were on but now there is only one light, I cant find anywhere what these lights mean, but if i can find that out I might find out the problem
Hi @bradleyp144 , Your issue is most likely on your T-Con board. I would check for shorted capacitors. If it is not the caps then could be the driver ICs… Make sure you test them first with the screen connected to the T-Con board and if you find any shorted components check again with the cables unplugged as you can have a shorted display too.
