I have this issue as well, the TV stays on for about 2 minutes and then the lights go off. I can still see the image on the screen with a flashlight. I can still hear sound coming from the TV as well. d65u-d2 is the model number. I took the back panel off and have some pictures, there does not seem to be any black areas on the boards.

‘’’++magnum_aht++’’’ What you are describing could possibly be caused by a bad power board which causes the backlight to turn off, but can also be a T-con board issue. The power board supplies the voltages needed by the backlight. Of course there is a possibility that your backlight LED array has failed or you have some loose cable. You have to check this out by removing the back and measuring the output of the power board. If the power is supplied but the backlight turns off, it’s the array. You do want to try to reset your TV. Unplug it and push and hold the power button for about 30sec-1min then plug it in while holding the power button depressed. If that does not help, remove the back of your set and post some good images of your boards with your question. That way we can see what you see and could try to assist you further. Same here! I too have been trying to solve this problem. That led driver board gets hot and and that’s why this is happening. I saw one video where a guy made a hole in the back of that TV and put a USB fan there, to keep that board cool…
