I have a Samsung UN40J6200AF LED TV that recently stopped working. When I press the power button on the set or remote, the standby light blinks ~4 times and stops. The back light doesn’t come on and there’s no other response, audio or video. I’ve attempted to troubleshoot this and even replaced some parts - both the power board and the main board - but the problem continues. When testing with a multimeter, all voltages seem to be what they should be, none of the capacitors seem damaged, and when I short the connector for the back lights, they come on. My only remaining idea is to replace the T-Con board, but I don’t want to shell out the cash for that part if it seems unlikely to be the culprit. Thoughts?
@beardiac not sure if you still have issues with your TV or if you got it fixed. I would suggest you unplug the mainboard from the power board and see if your backlight comes on. If your TV has backlight issues it will not turn on.
