Hello, I have a Philips 65PUS6821/12 TV which since a few weeks has the right half of the screen that starts blinking on&off repetitively, occasionally it may stabilize for a couple of minutes and the picture is very good, but it starts blinking again. Also on the left side I got brighter backlight coming from the bottom side of screen on some spots and one vertical light stripe that also started to blink. I took it to a diagnose local shop, they said it is the Main Board that needs to be changed, but as I am not very sure, i need an expert opinion on whether this is indeed correct. PS: I can share a small video over email. Thank You Update (12/21/2021) Pictures of inside, all looks visually ok. T-con seems also ok. Not sure where issue comes from.
Hello all, back on the same issue which remains unresolved. i have now as per advices, tried replacing firstly the TCON board, but the problem remained the same. Then I tried replacing the mainboard vs a used one i bought online, the replacement MB gave me same results, moreover i had two replicate images on each half of the TV(!) and it still continued blinking on the right half as well. so I re-installed the original MB and I am suspecting it could be the backlights that are causing the issue ?! but i dont want to take the big risk of taking out the lcd panel without being sure. any advice please ?
