victorgoldwire, you will have to open it up and check the capacitors on the power supply as well as the main fuse.
All fuses checked ok. All capacitors look good. No leaks or bulges.
I’m nearly 100% certain it’s the y-sustain board. “Loud pop sound” is dead giveaway. I heard this complaint at least a dozen times with HP TV’s specifically back in the day. If you spend some time on Google I’m sure you’ll come to the same conclusion. Like I said, it was a very common issue.
