The past few weeks my TV keeps blinking to a darker version of the image on the TV. Example. If I am watching a show the image stays on the screen the entire time but it will have a random flash of the same image just darker (like a shadow). It is the entire screen. Not pixelated at all. It happens no matter what I am watching. The blinking is becoming more frequent. Any thoughts of what is wrong?
@kodasmom not quite sure if I follow you with this part “of the same image just darker (like a shadow). “. If that means you have to screens with one being darker my first guess would be the T-con board. If it just all of a sudden turns dark (no double screen) then I am leaning toward the backlight strips. Of course you always want to check the power board first to make sure that it is supplying proper voltages to the backlight. If all of this sounds to confusing just remove the back cover from your TV (unplug it first) then take some good pictures of all the boards and post with your QUESTION. That way we can see what you see and hopefully can guide you further. Also, let us know the exact model of your TCL TV. Adding images to an existing question
