@oldturkey03 - I tried a few things.. my TV does not have any image and is having a lot of lines vertical and horizontal. It gives sound. Tried : X Replaced TCON board X Found someone selling ribbon cables on eBay and hence tried connecting new ribbon cables. I have tried to understand the voltage readings, but honestly , I dont understand what is the correct levels of V required. Trying to understand how to understand if it is the logic board or power board that is the problem. Since I get the sound, I was suspecting issue more to be with the logic board. Thanks!
@iwozsteve this “is having a lot of lines vertical and horizontal” is what always spooks me. Most commonly this is caused by a failed LCD driver board. That is the board(s) that connects with some fine ribbon cables to the LCD itself. It uses a special bonding process so that board can not be readily changed. Since you already changed the T-con board (which would be a valid suspect) the only other thing you could try is to check the Main board. The power board will really be of no consequence to a problem like the one you encounter with your Vizio. Post some pictures of what your TV shows with your QUESTION.
