Hi, I have a tv kunft 395VDLM14 (it is one of those cheap tvs) that does turn off after 30ish seconds. It just turn off on its own, completely (it doesn’t go on standby, the led turns off). It sounded like a power problem to me, so I checked the power board but it is fine. I have replaced some blown up capacitors in the past, but they looks fine here. What can be wrong?

Thank you!

Hi @jachavik, How do you turn it on again? Do you have to wait until it “cools down”?? No standby power light usually means no standby voltage received by the mainboard from the power board. Here’s a link to the schematic for the power board that may help. The +5V Standby voltage is on pin 9 of the connector (+5V_STBY) and is derived from the +12V Vcc supply by transistor Q1 (bottom right side of schematic). The +12V Vcc comes from the diode stack SB5100 which is supplied by the 12V AC supply from TR2. You may have to start by checking for the standby power supply when the TV fails. Be safety aware when testing for voltages on the power board. Even though you are testing for low DC voltage there is exposed lethal AC voltage on the board as well. If you don’t know how to test safely when AC power is present then don’t do it!
