Vizio P659-G1 TV Bought this from an auction site. New in box. Condition listed as “unable to test fully, charger missing.” Of course there is no charger but the power cable was missing. But it uses a fairly standard non-grounded AC cable and i had one at home. It turns on. Black screen with Vizio logo. Then it goes to a pale blue screen and nothing else. No buttons are responsive except the power button on the remote and on the back. Reset procedures outlined in Vizio manuals are not effective. Wonderin if maybe it’s a bad mother board that i can fix or if I should return it to the auction place. But need to know today before that second option’s time runs out.
@revbill this “Black screen with Vizio logo. Then it goes to a pale blue screen and nothing else” would lead me to a new main board. Could be other boards etc but just based on those symptoms, I’d start with that.
