There is no crack on the screen though. Can this be repaired I wonder

HI Samantha, I beg to differ; the screen is most definitely cracked, and what you’re seeing is exactly what a cracked screen looks like.

I’ve taken your picture and marked it; the red arrow shows the point of impact where something hit the screen and the orange ones are pointing to cracks radiating out from that point. Right now I’m afraid you’re in the market for a new TV; without knowing the model number it’s hard to be sure, but in general replacing the entire LCD on most televisions costs more than it would to just buy a new or used replacement television. So no, I’m afraid that’s not repairable, sorry to say.

Samantha Lawler sorry to be the bearer of bad news. This is a broken LCD panel. There is no repair for it, only a replacement. You can do a search on Ebay/ Craigs list, or the local pawn shops See if you can get the same model TV that has other issues> Harvest the LCD panel from that.
