model code : UN50ES6150FXZA Version no. : CS01 I was watching Netflix at the time. I rewind( hit return) and then forward the remote when suddenly the screen went black though I could hear the sound. I turned off the tv and on to switch to a local channel but the screen remained black, with sound. I watch the video and thought maybe the problem is the T-Con. Want to change the T-Con but not sure it will fix the problem. My son disagree and insist that it is the power supply board/Led board, so we bought a replacement board. Installed it but problem remains( still black screen) Any opinion/suggestion?
daxbrun could be either or as well as the main board. For now I would not replace anyboard without checking it. Remove the back of your set and take a look at all of them. The t-con board will have a fuse on it. You can check that with a mter for conituity and when you power on your TV check the voltage. You also want to check the voltage output on the power board to the LED’s and see what you get.
