Last night I dropped my MacBook Pro off the couch. It landed on hardwood and slammed shut. Now the screen is completely black and won’t turn on. My husband got it to turn on last night but then it froze when I went to use it today and is black again. When we press the power button it makes the sound like it’s turning on but the screen is black. I have tried typing in my password and the back light on the keys turns on but the screen remains black… any reccomendations? Update (01/12/2017) Scratch that.. it’s a MacBook pro 2015.
What happens when you shine a flashlight thought the Apple logo in the lid, are you able to see the faint images of your desktop icon’s and/or desktop image? If you have a second Mac see if you can connect the two together in Target Disk Mode are you able to gain access to the systems HD from the other system?
