Chosen Solution
I have a Sansa Sundusk m230 512mb music player. The volume up key is stuck pressed down. I can turn the volume down by clicking it like normal but after I do, it instantly turns itself down because the volume up key is stuck pressed down. I took it apart and didn’t see any chipped or broke pieces anywhere on the inside of the case or on the motherboard itself. Is this a problem with the screen button or how can I fix this?
Joshua Crowell it is possible that this is the switch itself. Post some good pictures of your board (both sides) with your question. That way we can see what you see. You will need an ohmmeter to check the function of the switch. It should be open until depressed which then closes it for the time it was pressed.
