i will turn on my flat screen tv and it will show black then I will turn it off then back on it’s black then I unplugged the tv then turn it on then few minutes later it’s on
@shermeeker1267 without knowing the exact make and model of your TV we can only guess. This could be anything from a bad power board to a bad main board. Errors like this “ I unplugged the tv then turn it on then few minutes later it’s on” are usually not resolved if it is caused by bad capacitors. Post some good images of your boards after you tell us the make and model Adding images to an existing question that way we can see what you see and can guide you further. Prime suspect would be the power board and the main board being secondary.
hello I’m John I would start by taking the back off the TV. you can lay it on your bed and take off the screws all around the edge and there maybe some around the inputs as well. TIP: with all screws off the back will lift off very easily if it doesn’t come off there is still a screw holding that side or section down. Now looking at the board that the power cord would go into and see if any capacitors are bad they will be bloated and not flat like the picture. if you know how to work a soldering gun this can be easily achieved. if not take a picture of the power board and google search your TV model number and look for a replacement. keep in mind to reference the picture exactly to your TV.
