Turn Music App Off When Playing Other Apps Through Speakers Iphone 6 Plus

When i plug in a speaker and play bird calls from an app the music app cuts in and plays over the bird calls. How do i turn the music app off so when i press the play button on the speaker it plays the bird call app only?

I’ve encountered this issue with all the iPhones I’ve had. It’s an iOS issue, I think it can’t stream 2 audio streams at a time. Swipe to open control center and play the music. Then turn off the sound in the game using game options.
