My Hotpoint Tumble dryer stopped working. It showes E2 on the display

It gets triggered when the exhaust air temperature is either below or above a certain setpoint. Besides the model number, it will also help if you can let us know what you have tried,checked. You can checked the thermistor with an ohmmeter, A value of less than 500ohms will indicate that it is defective. Besides the thermistor, check the heating element for continuity and check your dryers airflow. Make sure there is no obstruction on the air outlet.
