I have a BCL14181H battery charger (Ryobi) that does not charge. No blown parts. I am having trouble identifying components. Does anyone know the component number for U5? It is a 20 pin SMD chip. Also there are some components that look like an SMD resistor but appear to be jumpers. they are labeled RJ1, etc. Component U4 has what looks like T8L05 stamped on it. Anyone have an idea what it is?
I tried it with a battery that is at 16.5 volts and it doesn’t work. I can put the battery in a known good charger and it charges up.
If your battery is totally dead the charger may not recognize it.
