I want to re-purpose my broken iMac 27 (late-2011) display and make it an external monitor. I found a video on YouTube of a guy who did this, but I need to find the right LCD controller board kit for the monitor, and I don’t know what to search for and know I’m choosing the right one. Can someone point me in the right direction?
Patrik it really does not matter where it comes out of etc. What matters is that you have the right panel number. Look at the back of the panel. You should have a label attached to that with some numbers like this example LM270WQ1(SD)(E3) That will determine which controller board you need. Let us know what you find.
