I have been trying to find the bottom base for the G72 with the 5 screws as displayed in this walkthrough. HP G72 Keyboard Replacement I have had zero success. Does anyone know where to find this part? Update (09/13/2022)
@echbearsfan it is not quit clear which cover you are referring too. You can post some pictures of it with your QUESTION. That way we can see what you see and hopefully help you further. the other way would be to download the service manual for your computer from here Go through the parts list to find the HP Part number for that cover. That way we can see what you see Adding images to an existing question Update (09/13/2022) The only listed Base enclosure for use with: ● Biscotti computer models with HDMI card reader, without modem 616485-001 ● Matte black models with HDMI card reader, without modem 616489-001 ● Charcoal models with HDMI card reader, without modem (for models 1.1 and 1.2 only) 616488-001 None of them seem to have the 5 hole pattern. see if you have an exact model number anywhere on your computer. If nothing else I suggest that you contact HP directly to get the right part number.
