I had purchased Sony ICF-C1T from USA. I plugged it into 230V socket in India. It fried the transformer. I don’t have any clue of the specifications of the transformer, and where I can buy it. Can anyone please help me?
@greatpunit unlikely that this is an isolated transformer issue. My suspicion would be a blown rectifier etc. before the transformer. You do want to go ahead and disassemble your device and look at the power board. Check for burned looking components. Sony ICF C1 clock Primary voltage is 230V and Secondary voltage is red - white 6.4 V AC and Yellow - blue 4.6V AC. Mostly primary winding will be burnt, because this clock is kept on continuous operation. You may rewind the primary winding with local winding technicians.
Same issue seems like both transformer and board burned.
