I installed the MacBook pro trackpad on a 13” unibody. I am able to push down and here the click to select but when i tap on the trackpad to select an item it will only work if i tap the right top corner. Tapping on the rest of the trackpad wont highlight the selection and double tapping wont open the folders/programs. Would you know what would cause this??
If you replaced the trackpad then you didn’t adjust the click paddle. Slowly turn the adjustment screw one rotation one direction then try the other direction to adjust the clicker.
You may also need to center the trackpad if you find it’s sticking on the edge. I use Post-It notes as spacers on all four sides to make sure its centered. Once I get the anchor screws tight I pull the paper out.
