Hello everyone, hope you are staying safe during these times. My Macbook Pro 2015 keyboard and trackpad stopped working a while back and today i replaced the cable that connects the two, however it does not fix it. Keyboard and Trackpad is still not working, is anything else broke? What have i done wrong? Anything else that needs replacement or do i take it do a repairshop? Kind regards, have a great day! (External mice and keyboard still works through ports)
While not intuitive both the keyboard and trackpad share an internal USB hub which is also accessed by the I/O board. See if reseating the I/O board ribbon cable fixes things. Otherwise you may need to replace the I/O board and/or cable MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Early 2015 I/O Board Replacement
