Hi, I’ve just bought a mid-2014 MacBook pro with non-working touchpad. Only the clicks are working at the bottom of the trackpad but it’s ok because I prefer mouse. But the main problem is the built-in keyboard. When I start typing, it freezes or disconnect for a sec in every 3-4 sec. In the keyboard settings some options disappear in the same time when it freezes. It doesn’t matter which key I press, it doesn’t work. It takes a lot of time to type because of this. I’m trying to find the reason of this but I can’t. Everything works fine with an external keyboard. Have you seen any problem like this? I made a short video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ox0YePIR… Thank you!
From your vid I’m not sure if you have a hardware issue or instead have some process running that needs to be dealt with. I’m thinking you have some spyware on your system so the keyboard entry is being forward to someone. I would strongly recommend you do a complete wipe of the drive and re-install your OS from a known good source. If you have access to a second Mac setup a bootable OS installer thumb drive download your OS from the Apps Store or from here How to get old versions of macOS which is Apples offering of older OS’s. Then follow this guide {https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201372|How to create a bootable installer for macOS] Make sue you format the USB thumb drive with GUID and a journaled file system before you start. That should do it, Now only install from the original apps websites or Apple’s App Store so you know its not been infected with spyware.
