I have used a external mouse for my macbook (since i bought it) it had the problem when i bought it (the seller unplugged the trackpad from the motherboard and said it didn’t work) now today i decide to plug it in and it worked but it does not click (battery is not swollen) it goes down but it doesn’t register on MacOS, and sometimes when i’m scrolling it thinks i tapped with 2 fingers (registering as a right click) does anyone know what the problem might be?

It sounds like the trackpad is worn-out so the touch surface is not working any more. I would start off replacing the trackpad MacBook Unibody (A1278) Trackpad and here’s the guide MacBook Unibody Model A1278 Trackpad Replacement once you replace it you’ll need to adjust the click plate by adjusting the setscrew which hits the blister switch on the back side

You can find just the trackpad cable on eBay.
