None of the solutions in this article worked for me: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windo… I factory reset via Windows 10, back to Windows 8.1, thinking I could get back to normal factory with the touchscreen working. ASUS Support is not assisting as well as we would like. Here is my information, please help. Device Info:

Bios Vendor: American Megatrends Version: 203 (200 was original, but cannot retro-load it) GOP Version: 5.0.1036 EC Version: YG1S020001
try check out this I have the problem too also mine is ASUS Try “Solution 4: Two Button Shutdown” on http://www.microsoft.com/surface/en-us/s… I have a Sony Vaio Duo and one day my touch screen simply stopped working. I noticed that my computer system was saying: “pen and touch is available for this display” and also my HID Compliant Touch Screen had disappeared. After many hours searching on the internet and trying everything possible, I found this information and the solution 4 worked for me! :) It’s a really simple solution. You just have to turn on your computer by pressing and holding Volume Up (located on the left side) and the Power button at the same time for at least 15 seconds, and then release both. Here is the link: http://www.microsoft.com/surface/en-us/s… Hope it helps. or ok so i figured it out. you have to go into your services and make sure that your “tablet pc service” is enabled or running and then you will get full function of the touch screen to work so if it doesn’t work I’m trying to do it too so I will just tell you
Thx for the replies, but this turned out to be a hardware issue. The back of the cover had some how pressed down on the monitor wire enough to prevent signals btwn the motherboard and the display, and therefore no detection. If you are having this problem, and none of the software solutions work, and the laptop is no longer under warranty, watch YouTube videos on how to remove the case to look at the condition of the wires. You may find that a small adjustment of wire placement will do the trick.
