Recently, my touch pad has been getting very hot and the touch pad I have to hard press it to get it to register the click, it’s not stuck, it just won’t register with a click, you have to press very hard for it to register, when I move the trackpad, it works, but the clicks and It is hot.
Hi Richard_Does_Technology I have a feeling it could be the battery below. Is it still under warranty? check for any possible bios updates. one thing you can try is to open up the bottom of your laptop and remove the battery. https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/sg/… Check if you removed on the battery, does the touchpad still feel hot,
