Im repairing a cracked s4 screen. Removed logic board and everything else before removing the glass. All seemed to go ok and lcd boots up but not repsonding to touch at all. I tried the glass free lcd in another s4 and its working fine so im wondering if its possibly a board problem? Tried the board on another screen and no touch screen again. Phone was in poer saving mode but ive hard reset it but still no touch. Is there any possible workarounds to testing the board etc to see if anything is damaged,ive put it up against the working board and cant see any difference. Any ideas or pointers in right direction would be greatly appreciated
It would most likely be the best idea to just go out and buy a new LCD unit. Check the cables and make sure that is no rip in the cables for the LCD. It is most likely something has been snagged and ripped. Hope this helps Chad
I now have the same problem with my s4. I was watching a movie on the android video player with the screen lock turned on. The phone shut itself down without warning and when I restarted it everything works bar touch. My first thought is that the screen lock function in Video Player is still on and im now unable to get back into the App to turn it off. Is this a possibility?? I have done all recovery mode options and what not. Im at a loss . Any advice would be nice. Cheers
Hello, buy the screen replenishment of an Iphone S4 because mine had fallen to the ground and the screen was damaged, not broken but only clear bars were seen darkening the image. Change the same and it seems to work perfect, just that the Touch does not work, I can not unlock the phone because it does not allow me to slide my finger across the screen. Check the connectors and they are neither dirty nor bent. What could it be ?
