I repair Devices on a daily basis. I have run into a problem that I cannot identify. I replaced the touch screen on a Ipad 2 A1395. After replacing the touch screen, I boot up the device and the touch screen will allow me to slide to open, after that, there is no response from the screen. When it goes to sleep, I can wake it up using the Home button but still no response. I have disconnected the battery, disconnect the Touch screen, re attach the touch screen, reconnect the battery and repeat power up but still no luck. I have restored the device and still no luck. I only get a temporary touch response. I have tried 3 new screens and all display the same problem. I have had the Digitizer FPC connectors replaced thinking maybe it was the connectors but still the same problem. Has anyone encountered this problem before? Also, I have noticed I cannot wake the Device with the power button but I can get it to power up and show the power off slide bar but since the touch screen does not work I cannot power it off without disconnecting the battery. Thanks, Bob
Hi Bob Probably a motherboard issue. You should look at the broadcom microcontroller https://d3nevzfk7ii3be.cloudfront.net/ig… Reagrds Patrice
I have accactly the same problem. Did you replace the Broadcom ic chip, BOB?
I have same problem, but i can power it off by press Home & Power button at the same time, and wake it by the Power button.
