I dropped my Nexus 2nd G and cracked the glass. The top portion of the screen now did not respond to touch. I have replaced the LCD and digitizer and it still does not respond…only the bottom of the screen. Do I need to replace the LCD Ribbon Cable?
More likely chances are there that you might have damaged the connector cable. Check on it. Or even it can be loose connection also. Get it installed frm professional.
