I swapped the battery and that worked fine. The screen appears fine but now the touch screen isn’t responding any more. I’ve reseated the cables (I removed to install the new battery) numerous times to no avail. Finally I gave up & tried the “Factory Reset” still no response. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
Was the touch screen working before you replaced the battery. If not then replace the digitizer.
Jayeff had some great ideas. I’m going to assume that the digitizer was working before the repair. With that said, did you replace the screen connectors back onto the logic board with the new battery connected first? This can sometimes cause components to get a surge of energy that can damaged them. I would also inspect the connectors to see if any of the pins are bent. This can be easy to do if you tried to seat the connector back on and pressed it down without it being in the right spot.
