Chosen Solution

I have had a 5c for a while with a touch screen issue, it doesn’t let me increase the brightness up only down then gets to halfway and stops and certain letters do not work at all but sometimes they might. This is NOT an lcd issue. I now have another 5c that is exactly the same and with exactly the same letters that do not work. Before this was fully working, same with the other 5c. Does anybody know what’s gone wrong?

a few things can be the issue here even though you may not want to hear some of them.

  1. Software problem/corruption. Backup your iPhone. Then plug your phone into your computer, open up iTunes and hold down the home and power buttons till the phone turns off. Let go of the power button when it turns off (But keep holding the home button) then press the power button again. When you see this logo you can let go of everything

Follow the on screen prompts to finish the recovery. 2. the Screen is faulty. Just because you are saying it happens on 2 phones doesn’t mean both screens aren’t faulty. Test with a known working screen to know for sure. 3. Touch screen IC’s on the main board are damaged/faulty Take it to your local independent repairer who can do micro soldering to fix this.
