Chosen Solution
I have changed the display and the touchscreen of the phone. Now the left and the right sides of the touch screen can not register taps, but they can register slides. I tested factory resetting the phone. Doesn’t work. Is it possible that the changed display is not original or faulty?
idolism absolutely possible. If your digitizer does not respond etc., double check your work and make sure everything is connected right. If so, replace the digitizer once more since it is possible you have a bad part.
