Hello ! I have a Samsung galaxy S7 edge . The digitizer stopped working a week back . I took it to the service centre , got the front LCD replaced ( as digitizer is a part of the screen ) under warranty. On the way back home , the touch panel has developed cracks , however there is no distortion , black spots or dead pixel on the LCD, can I replace the touch panel under warranty ? Is the touch panel a part of the LCD screen , or are they two components, can this be covered under warranty ? The device is 3 months old
That depends on the details of the warranty. Most warranties that I know of are void when there is damage to the screen. The touch/digitizer is a thin film on top of the LCD itself (under the glass and glue) and can’t be easily replaced.
