Chosen Solution
When I boot up my MacBook, the screen looks fine, but, although I can move the cursor across the screen, I can not choose (ie, click and get a response) on anything. I do have a bluetooth mouse, but I can’t turn it on.
Try a USB mouse. If thats alright you’ll need a new topcase cause nothing in it is changeble. Bad industrial design.
Reseat the cable connecting the keyboard to the logic board. Check to see if anything is in the socket preventing connection.
