Hello I cracked my phone and the touchscreen features suddenly stopped working about two hors after that. The image displays fine and everything else seems to be working fine is there any way I could maybe fix this at home as a lot of places are closed around me.
You’ll have to replace the screen as the digitizer is damaged. It looks like ifixit only has the LCD kit which I highly advise against because that phone uses the more efficient OLED panel and the connectors are not designed to handle the extra current LCD panels will draw. That leaves you with the hard or soft OLED. For best quality I recommend soft because that’s what apple uses. The hard OLED is cheaper but it is more brittle and you’re more likely to damage the OLED panel before breaking the glass. Keep in mind that when you replace the display it will pop up with a message saying “apple cannot verify a genuine apple display has been installed on this device”. That is nothing to be concerned about so long as you use a quality part.
