Chosen Solution
I replaced my battery and my home button has stopped working. My Touch ID, however, still works. Any recommendations? iPhone 5S.
This is an interesting problem. The only way I could see this happening is if there was a micro tear somewhere along the home button flex where the it connects to the sensor. I have not encountered this issue myself, so I unfortunately cannot offer advice beyond the basics: Remove the display assembly again and check the flex for any issues, make sure there is nothing loose or getting in the way. Check for any tears or any solder points coming up. Other than that, I hope you resolve this issue and would be interested in hearing the cause of this malfunction. Best of luck!
