Hi, I’m having an unusual issue with my 5s, as the description says, my Touch ID works without issue, however the home button itself is not working. It gradually got worse, going from working 50% of the time to as it is now, which is never. I’m using assistive touch to navigate out of apps and such now, and like I said using Touch ID now problem. I wondered if anyone has come across this issue before and if there is a fix? (That maintains TouchID functionality). Funnily enough the problem developed one year and two days after I purchased it, go figure.
I would take it to Apple, once you replace the home button touchID is lost, forever

Hello, I have the same problem. I changed my battery yesterday and now my home button is not working… But touch ID is! I was thinking to the home button plug, but it seems not damaged… Everything looks ok but it’s not working… Does anyone have an idea? Many thanks!
plug your charger on your iPhone and keep pressing the charger in the port NOT TO HARD at the same time press the home button.
