I recently had my iphone 6 screen replaced. Now the touch id does not work, I do not get the error 53 or anything, but when I go to program my fingerprint it does not do anything. Also the double tap on the home button to pull the screen down halfway does not work either. I have read mixed things online, so my question is: If you do a screen replacement will touch id work if everything is installed correctly? or will touch id only work with the original screen that came on the phone? Thanks
Sometimes damage happens to the home flex during repair. It happens every once in awhile. I attached the part, I would try replacing it! iPhone 6 Home Button Link Cable
if you do a screen replacement correctly without flaws theres always about a 1% chance that it will not work we do hundreds of iphones at our store and its just an inevitable thing.
