Hi guys I was repairing an Iphone 6 and I ran in to some troubles. I replaced the screen with an Ifixit screen, but touch id isn’t working. I did install the original button that came with this phone in the new screen but it doesn’t work (it did work in the broken original Apple screen that I replaced). The button fits perfect in the new screen and it does work when I click. Do you guys have any ideas what the issue may be? thanks
Have you tried reseating the home button cable and see if that helps? Also try reseating the screen connectors (unplug and unplug while battery is unplugged). If the replacement screen came with a pre-assembled parts such as the front camera, earpiece speaker and home button connector, try the home button connector from the old screen to the new one.
