Hello, I have an iphone 6 and my touch id stopped working like 2 months ago, at start it sometimes worked and sometimes didn’t and then suddenly it stopped working. i tried replacing the touch id extension cable but it didn’t help. about a month ago when it already didn’t work i replaced my screen because it was broken, and then suddenly the touch id started working for 2 days and then stopped. i really need your help thanks.
The metal plate that is on the back of the home button extension cable is a grounding plate. I’ve see this problem before with intermittent Touch ID problems after one of my technicians accidentally separated it on a screen replacement, and replacing that cable with a new one with the metal backing plate solved it.
