Hello I have baught a iphone 5s and the touch id sensor has close to no functionality. Most likely the screen has been replaced but the sensor is the original as i have access to touch id and it starts registering fingerprints but i can never get it to work. only once have i got to register a fingerprint hardly but still it never worked to unlock my iphone. I have cleaned it in evey possible way but the sensor just cant read the fingerprint properly. The guy who replaced the screen most likely didnt place the sensor correctly and thats why probably it acts so poorly. Has anyone ever had such problems? I did have this sort of problem on a 5s gold before but i never got to fix it.
There is nothing you can do about it, try to get warranty from Apple.
