Chosen Solution
After replacing a friends 5s screen, she was unable to use her Touch ID, and or set it up. Later that night, she mentioned that the volume doesnt work and is always on silent yet she gets vibrations. I always replace screens and they always work. I know for a fact that nothing ripped or got disturbed in the process. Can anyone find a solution or have encountered this before? If it helps, she is running GSM T-mobile on iOS 9.1
Are you sure the volume toggle switch on the side is switched up to allow ringing? When you replaced the screen, it was just the screen itself and not the entire assembly with a new touch id home button correct? The iPhone 5s can only work with it’s original touch id sensor. Also, does the home button itself work?
