Toshiba Tv turns on and backlight works but no image on screen not even the tv’s UI, my son was playing xbox and the screen went black about 30 mins in and has not changed ever since even when every device is unplugged, still no images of any kind but the screen does light up. the tv is only a year and a half old at this point.
@sp4rk94 since you get the backlight etc. your power board is okay. This does sound like a main board issue. Of course you do want to go ahead and try all input sources. like HDMI, COAX, Component etc. but only use local sources like DVD BR or game console. A bad cable or Sat box can sometimes cause this as well. Yes, disconnect all devices first. Unplug the set and then hold the power button depressed for about a minute or two. Then connect the video source, plug the TV in and see if anything has changed. If not, time to take the back cover off and have a look at the main board. Check for loose cables and obvious damaged looking components. It always helps to post pictures with your Question so that we can see what you see. Adding images to an existing question
