Hi, I have a Toshiba Tecra S11-15T, with a BIOS password. I bought a mac and have been using my mac for over a year now I cant remember the Bios Password. I dissembled the laptop hoping to find a cmos battery but surprisingly I didt find any and now i don’t know how to reset clear the cmos. I have attached images. Please help me anyone please.
Jonathan CMOS batteries have fallen out of favor for about 10 years and passwords etc. are not securely locked with an IC. Your image are not clear enough to really help you out. You would be looking for some jumpers labeled either JCMOS or JRST. On Toshiba’s you usually find those around the RAM slots. You would need to connect one side of the jumper to ground and then turn on your computer. That would reset it. This is a Toshiba, so please remember that this company is absolutely paranoid and will not help you. They are not DIY friendly not are their device easy to fix because of the lack of manuals etc.
