The tri-wing screws that connect the battery are difficult to remove even with the correct screwdriver. Are there any other screws that I could buy, either torx or philips, to replace them? How can I look up the appropriate screw type?
They’re not difficult to remove I repair macs as a side business and the correct tip from ifixit grips these screws without movement. You need to use the correct Y0 driver which is standard in the ifixit mako kit not a cheap three headed philips driver that comes in all the chinese battery kits.
