I was replacing the battery on my XR today, and the adhesive got stuck. I pried the battery out with a screwdriver (foolish, I know) and tore the cable behind the battery.
Now, the phone is turning on fine, but won’t charge at all. What can I do here?
You will have to replace the cable but that shouldn’t lead to not charging of the phone. There might be some other fault that is not letting your phone charge or it even might be a bad battery or even a bad charging dock flex so you will have to diagnose the issue but the possibilities are endless so probably I can help you fix this issue. Cheers!
Ive just replaced the battery aswell as the front ear speaker on my iphone xr to fix bootlooping issue and accidentally tore that flex aswell however my wireless charging still works and so does my charging port so idk what it really breaks
