Chosen Solution
After doing a battery replacement, I noticed the top of the home button wasn’t clicking properly. I opened it back up and when I clicked, it was completely fine. Is the shield blocking it from clicking or did I do something wrong?
Was the metal bracket for the home button removed by any chance? It could be mounted upside down. It is upside down if let’s say it’s a chimney shape upside down. Instead you want it upright with the chimney roof facing direction up.
