I have the same problem with my Hisense 4k smart TV…….. Top half went completely dark……I took the time completely apart and realized that only the bottom half of each Led strip is lighting up……I was told by a “tech guy” on the phone that it is probably the T con board that needs to be replaced……. It is definitely in the TV and not from the sources…… Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks
‘’’++@amyjoscears++’’’ Unlikely that this is caused by a T-con board failure. This sounds like the power board is not supplying your backlight array with the required voltage or the array itself has failed. Measure the voltages going from the power board to the array. If in doubt, post some good pictures of your boards etc. with your question. That way we can see what you see. Use this guide Adding images to an existing question for that.
